Frances Gail is a popular New York City artist. Her specialty is hand painting glass.
Her collection includes glasses, plates, vases, bowls, and framed paintings. Candle vases are unique. By day,use them for flowers and at night-light up the vase with a candle and the designs are illuminated.
Her designs are one of a kind. The glass is cleaned, prepared and than painted. Each layer or coat of paint must dry a minimum of 24 hours, before another coat can be applied. Many of the items have at least 10 different colors or coats of paint. The item is then baked . After cooling a protective coating is added and then the glass is baked again. Some items may take more than a week to complete.
